Sunrise is a Proud Supporter of Ohio 4-H

Sunrise Cooperative is honored to support Ohio 4-H. We would like to recognize the nearly 200,000 young members from Ohio that participate in 4-H clubs, camps and school enrichment programs and in other extension youth groups and educational activities during Ohio 4-H Week, March 7-13.
Held annually during the beginning of March is Ohio 4-H Week. This week is at a time that youth are enrolling in 4-H and provides a great kick-off for the new year.
Sunrise’s largest area of support is the FFA and 4-H. Each year Sunrise supports county fairs across our trade territory by contributing towards the county fair livestock sales and supporting trophy donations and informational presentations. In 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, our cooperative footprint stretched through 35 county fairs, donating just under $200,000 at the livestock sales.
The hands-on learning experiences that 4-H offers are tremendous, along with the teamwork, leadership and community service that youths engage in. The 4-H motto is “to make the best better,” and refers to each member. The 4-H motto encourages members to stretch their abilities and capacities to reach greater achievement within their own potential. Sunrise is honored to give back to our local youth and encourage them to pursue a future in agriculture.
