COVID-19 Update – Encouragement and Communication

Happy Easter! Although you may have celebrated your holiday a little differently this year, I hope that you realize there will come a time when you will be able to gather with your extended family.

As we navigate this coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic together, we cannot thank you enough for all the efforts that you have put forth. Calling ahead and picking up product ahead of time has been huge. The more we can communicate with our sales team and our branches is tremendous. Although we have to do business differently, and we have to act differently towards one another, it has helped to do our part in the prevention of the spread of the virus.

As of late we have heard of the packing plants that have had to stop production due to a virus outbreak. We do not want to get to the point where we lose an entire facility’s workforce and have to shut down due to the virus. The more precautions we take, the better off we will be in the long run. We need to continue to communicate with each other and plan ahead to remain productive, safe and healthy.

As we look ahead at the forecast, I will be reaching out to the branch managers to look closely at the schedule of employees at each location. When the forecast does not look favorable, we want to reduce our workforce at our facilities to aid in slowing the spread of COVID-19. This will help us do our part to keep you and all of our employees safe, so we are full strength when the weather changes.

Looking at our inventory, things continue to look good. We do not foresee any problems and we are working closely with our partners to restock our buildings as each of you stage your products at home.

We are continually working on contingency plans at our facilities in case something happens with the virus, and we encourage each of you to do the same to ensure that your crop gets in the ground.

We are moving forward and will get through this together. Please remember to maintain six feet of distance from each other, wash your hands constantly, wash your gloves or dispose of your disposable gloves often.

Thank you for your continued business and support.
